Simple Shredded Chicken

Chicken recipes are a dime a dozen. The internet is littered with them, and we can't seem to get enough of them. They're easy to make, tasty and healthier than other animal protein sources. But what if we told you about a chicken recipe so good, so versatile and so unstoppable that it's quickly becoming the top contender for the best chicken recipe in the world?

As you might have guessed by now, we're talking about shredded chicken. It's all over restaurant menus as an appetizer or as a filling for tacos, sandwiches and salads. It's also working its way into many of our favorite comfort dishes such as enchiladas or casseroles. Check this recipe to make at home easily!

  • 6 Chicken Breast Fillets (300g each)
  • 450 g BBQ Sauce
  • 100 g Brown Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tbsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 3 tbsp Hot paprika powder
  • 2 teaspoon Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Place the chicken breasts in a big roaster, deep baking tray, or casserole dish after washing them.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika powder, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper, go by feel.

  3. Allow the chicken breasts to soak in the sauce overnight.

  4. Cook the chicken breast fillets in sauce in the oven for 1.5-2 hours at 180 degrees top and bottom heat.

  5. Remove the meat from the oven and shred it with two forks. It's critical to pluck the meat while it's still warm; otherwise, it won't work as effectively.

  6. Serve as a burger or with sauce and other side dishes. (burger recommended!)
